One of my first influences in graphic design did not happen until my last year of high school. I had stumbled on Pixelsurgeon (one of the best art/music/design blogs, RIP) which had a news post about Bionic Systems, a design studio based in Germany. As soon as I witnessed their portfolio website animate before my eyes in all Flash goodness (remember this is 2001), I wanted to know more about graphic design. Thanks Bionic Systems.
